Cave and Winery Tour
Tours start at the Tasting Room and begin with a walk through the 19th-century barnyard. You will learn about the history of Halter Ranch and the plans for further restoration of this historic property. En route to the winery, you will talk about sustainable farming and the art of viticulture. At the winery, embark on the path a grape takes through our cutting edge winery facility. Tours are complementary and last approximately 45 minutes.
Excursion Tour

Defender Tour
This three hour excursion tour begins with a circumnavigation of this historic ranch in a restored 1984 Land Rover Defender 110. You’ll see the pond, wildlife corridors, and all 281 acres of vineyards. Take in the view from Lion’s Ridge, the highest point in the vineyard; stop under the famed Ancestor Tree where you will taste the current vintage of our Estate Reserve Ancestor. After the property tour, continue on to the state-of-the-art, gravity flow winery, where they will guide you through the winemaking process. Your final stop is their beautiful Member Lounge where you’ll enjoy a private tasting of their current release wines.
